A secluded villa on the edge of deep oak forests, graced with lighting that harmonises with the airy interior and natural materials. Every fixture was carefully selected to reflect the unique character of the space.
For the study, we chose the Vibia Guise. Its defining quality is that the light source is virtually invisible — light emanates directly from the material itself, so the fixture remains almost imperceptible when switched off. In the kitchen, dining room, and living area, we complemented the high ceilings with the romantic Moooi Heracleum II alongside Soap and Tim pendants from Czech glassmaker Bomma. All three make a bold statement with their generous proportions while preserving the lightness and airiness of the space. This interplay of forms draws the eye, while the primary light sources recede into the background — spotlights, track fixtures, and linear profiles that allow dynamic, ever-changing lighting scenes to be composed.
The villa is also a beautiful illustration of how light itself can become a decorative tool. We integrated it directly into the shelving, accentuating the lines of the timber furniture and adding a layer of premium quality to every room. The kitchen island, for instance, features a pull-out bar — a striking element in its own right. LED lighting integrated into the bar multiplies the sophistication of the solution further still. When the bar is extended, the lighting activates automatically via a motion sensor. After dark, the bar becomes an unmissable focal point that invites everyone to gather for a drink.
I want to implement a similar project.
